Results
of BBL hair removal treatments depend on factors such as color of the

Photodynamic Therapy
Photodynamic Therapy is a new procedure that treats a combination of
changes in facial skin. Following a microdermabrasion treatment, Levulan
(aminolevulanic acid) is applied to the skin and activated by a light
source.
Photodynamic Therapy is very effective for treating acne and acne
scaring, and appears to match the results seen with Accutane without the
systemic side effects.
Furthermore, actinic keratoses (precancerous lesions) and potentially
early skin cancer changes can be destroyed. Large pores are reduced and
mottled pigmentation, skin complexion and tone are improved.

treats the lesions and changes associated with acne is available without
the systemic side effects.
Photodynamic
Therapy is a combination of Levulan activated with a specific frequency
of light, to treat moderate to severe acne, including cystic acne.
An integrated thermo-electric cooled sapphire plate keeps the treatment
area safe and cool.
First a
light microdermabrasion is done to prepare the skin - this helps to
unclog the pores of dirt and blackheads or whiteheads and effectively
exfoliate the surface of the skin. Levulan - a clear prescription liquid
- is applied to the area. A special "blue" light source or IPL (Intense
Pulse Light) is then used to activate the Levulan in a controlled
fashion.
Following this treatment a person can usually expect the skin to be red

Laser Tattoo Removal
Tattooing has become a very popular
way for people to express their individuality. It is an ancient art form
dating back as far as the Stone Age (12,000 BC).

have tattoos. There are basically two types: professional tattoos and
amateur tattoos.
Professional tattoos generally contain more ink that is deeply placed in
the skin. These tattoos may require a number of treatment sessions to be

A special Q-switched laser selectively targets the pigmented particles
of the tattoo with a brief (billionths of a second) single pulse of

The laser pulse fractures the ink into smaller particles, which are

body's scavenger white blood cells. The tattoo fades over a number of

Re-treatment is suggested in six to eight week intervals. Due to the
infinite variety of tattoos and the mixing of inks, it is impossible to

tattoo. Typically, amateur tattoos clear after two to six treatments,
